7 December 2024.

Lunch and dinner during the conference will be provided by Reskontó Restaurant (Debrecen, Péterfia u. 34, 4026). The restaurant is located in the city centre of Debrecen, in the neighbourhood of the Great Church and the famous Debrecen Reformed College. The wine bar has a pleasant atmosphere, keeping its traditional style, which is popular with both older and younger people. In the summer, the restaurant’s spacious, quiet courtyard is set on a terrace in a beautiful, cosy environment. The Reskontó is a family restaurant, reminiscent of the Sunday lunches and dinners of our grandmothers and mothers, offering the values of traditional Hungarian hospitality to the guests of the new millennium.

30 October 2024.

Our conference will take place in the Déri Museum in Debrecen.

The Déri Museum is located in downtown Debrecen (4026 Debrecen, Déri tér 1.). The conference will be hosted by the Déri Museum, which works in close cooperation with the University of Debrecen on various scientific and educational projects. The museum was founded relatively late in 1902 by the town’s science-loving citizens. It takes its present name and its outstanding collection of artefacts from the Viennese textile manufacturer Frigyes Déri, who, never forgetting his Hungarian origins, wished to enrich the culture of the country, which was mutilated by the Trianon Peace Treaty, with his unique donation. Déri’s donation provided the university, which was taking shape in the 1920s, with art objects of exceptional value, which could be used for illustrative teaching purposes. In the spirit of the donor, the conference further strengthened the collaboration between the Museum and the University.
